This beautiful estate's history goes back over 300 years during which time they have transformed themselves from a good local producer to the standard setter in this new era for South African wines. In viticulturist, Nico Walters and winemaker Adi Badenhorst, they have two of the finest talents in the land and they, together with the rest of the team, are responsible for some of the finest wines ever to have left the Cape. 2008 Chardonnay This really epitomises all that's best in South African Chardonnay - near perfect harmony between ripe and complex New World ripe fruit aromas (pineapple, guava), judicious and integrated oak, and crisp, European style balancing minerally acidity. *Winner - South African Chardonnay over £10 Trophy - Decanter World Wine Awards 2009* *Silver Medal - International Wine Challenge 2009* 2006 John X Merriman (Merlot/Cab Sauv/Cab Franc) This remarkable red wine is named after John X Merriman, who was hugely influential in rescuing this estate back in the late 19th Century (he also went on to become Prime Minister of the Cape). Ripe 'Bordeaux' nose, plummy, cigar box with cassis, black fruits and herbs. Fine, silky tannins on the palate.

Dear serenata flowers , This was the third time I have ordered with you from Australia, and I am absolutely delighted with your service. The first two deliveries were recieved with delight, the third was due for delievry to my mother in hospital. She had a throat infection so they decided not to go ahead with the surgery..but the flowers were on there way as I had wanted them to great her! One phone call to Shauna at serenata , which was professionaly and helpfully answered, and the flowers were not wasted but diverted to my Mothers home address.
